Today God has brought His promises in Jer 33:3 coming to pass.
Jeremiah 33:3
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
I have been longing to be in fellowship with God, because it has been few days I did not spend time seeking Him at a quiet place. Today I just force myself out of bed early in the morning, carrying the hunger for the "Holy Communion" with Him.
James 4:8
Come near to God and He will come near to you.
As I prayed, I read His word from the book of John, from John 14 onwards. From the words that were spoken by Jesus in the passages, I felt that there were a lot of times when Jesus revealed His heart to His disciples. It becomes more evident that Jesus revealed His love and plan for His disciples when it comes to John 15 and 16 when He spoke of him being the vine and we, the branches, the Holy Spirit whom the Father gives us and assurance He gave when he was about to leave His followers. The part which touched my heart the most is in John 17, which wrote about Jesus' prayer for himself, His disciples and all believers. I felt that Jesus was praying that personal prayer for me, who is clinging on to Him today.
John 17: 6-19
Jesus prays for His disciples
6"I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. 10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. 11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. 12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. 13"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17Sanctifyb]">[b] them by the truth; your word is truth. 18As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
God's love language for me is His word. I am so overwhelmed when He reveals a thought of His to me. I feel so loved by God when He speaks to me.
Psalm 139: 17
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If your heart has also turned into a piece of dry land, all you need to do is to spend some time with Him and offer your heart to Him for a work of restoration.
This is my testimony:
Psalm 40
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth
a hymn of praise to our God.
Spare some time for this "Holy Communion" with Jesus today! :)
